Leader: Come, all who are anxious or burdened. This is a time to experience good news.
All: Come to God’s house with expectancy and anticipation. God is present to greet us and change our lives.
Leader: We are here to remember the ministry of Jesus and to be equipped for our ministry in his name.
All: Unless God is the builder and shaper of our lives, we labor in vain. Unless we view our city and our nation as God’s, there is emptiness here.
Leader: We are here seeking an extra measure of reassurance, the restoration of our best selves, and the clarification of our responsibilities.
All: Blessed is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord our God.

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Eternal God, we kneel before you, not to present what ought to be inside of us, but to lay before you our true selves. We have not consistently lived for you or for the wellbeing of others. Too much of human life is spent on acquiring things and gratifying our own desires. By your grace and power to transform, free us from selfish motives and willful disobedience. Direct our attention and energies toward meeting the needs of others that we may bring glory to you through service. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear again, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. By God’s will, we are made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 9:28 and 10:10
