We will be offering Adult Education classes to anyone interested in learning.
Here is a list of our classes we intend to offer:
- Computer skills; getting organized, surfing the web safely, reading and sending emails and even playing games.
- Arts & Crafts; painting with acrylics, balsa wood creations, model building, fabric crafts and many fun craft kits.
- Cell Phone Use; basic phone use to messaging and emails, all the way to using it as your portable mini computer.
- Science Studies; learning basic biology, chemistry, physics and geology through experimentation and projects.
- Reading; understanding libraries and book styles and advancing your reading comprehension.
Here is a list of classes we have scheduled:
- Cooking; creating menus, eating healthy, different cooking styles and techniques. We meet on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M. Last class, Wednesday, July 8th, we learned dessert finishing processes. We practiced Cake frosting techniques such as surfacing and decorating with ribbons and flowering. Next class, Wednesday, July 22nd we will be learning some fun Chinese items such as Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls and Wontons. We will also learn some differences of Chinese and Japanese cooking, finishing with making Fried Rice.
- Technology Learning; whether it be with your phone or laptop, we can teach you many basic skills. If you prefer we have three desktop computers for you to practice emailing, surfing the web, getting organized and online shopping. We will meet on Tuesday starting at 3:30 P.M. Our next class is scheduled for July 7th.
- Music class will soon start in August (TBA). It will gear towards learning about different styles and trends along with music creation basics. There may also be a piece for voice lessons for any interested in honing their singing skills.
- Soon to come, Arts and Crafts for those that want to practice certain arts they are interested in furthering their skills.
If you are interested, call us and inform us when you want to begin and which class you are interested in studying. Our available hours are Monday through Friday 3:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The church office is available to take your call from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Tuesday through Friday.
Or you can stop by at the church on Sunday and ask for Brad. We start Worship Service at 10:30 A.M. and conclude at 11:30 A.M. We all usually socialize in the church office until 12:30 P.M.
