Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
Merciful and Forgiving God, we confess that what we do is not the good we want to do, but the evil we do not want to do. War is waged between our desire to please you and our inclination to follow sinful human nature. The harmful behaviors we try to put down, we keep picking back up, and we are miserable and hurting because of our wrong choices. Who will rescue us from life dominated by sin and death? We need a Savior. Thanks be to God that He has sent us a Savior in his Son Jesus Christ! We humbly lift our prayers of confession and seek forgiveness in his name. Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
God sent his Son, who had no sin, to be a sin offering for us. He bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
(Romans 8:1)
