Opening Scripture Sentence: Rejoice in the Lord always. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

Leader: O Lord our God, we praise Your name because in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.
All: You are a refuge for the poor and needy in distress. You are a shelter from the storm. You are a shade from the heat.
Leader: On this mountain, the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet with the best of meats and the finest of wines.
All: On this mountain, He will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples; He will swallow up death forever.
Leader: The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth.
All: In that day, we will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in Him and He saved us. This is the Lord… let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
God of grace and mercy, You have planted within us a desire for righteousness and honor, yet we often are distracted and fearful, failing to trust Your goodness and wisdom. We are fascinated by pastimes and possessions that take our attention and resources away from the life You plan for us. Through Your covenant of grace, we seek forgiveness and mercy, that we may dwell in Your presence in joy and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
Remember us, O Lord, when You show favor to Your people; come to our aid when You save Your chosen ones, that we may share in the joy of Your nation and join Your inheritance in giving praise. In the gift of Christ, You show us that Your goodness and love endure forever. Believing all Your promises, we give thanks and glory to Your holy name. (From Psalm 106:1-5, 47)
