Prelude Lighting of the Candles
Opening Scripture Sentences: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39
*Opening Prayer Pastor
*Call to Worship Responsive Reading from Psalm 90:1-2, 14,17
Leader: O Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or You brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God.
All: Your Spirit brooded over the face of the deep as You created all things. Now, the forests and mountains, rivers and seas, savannahs and plains, stars and planets sing praises to God.
Leader: Of one blood our God made all people. The same great commandments He has given to all of us.
All: See what great love the Father has given us, that we should be called the children of God.
Leader: As the sun rises in the morning and the moon sets in the evening, fill our days with your light and blessing; satisfy us with your unfailing love; help us to rise and set in you.
All: May the favor of the Lord God rest upon us, as we come into His presence with thanksgiving and adoration, joining in creation’s song of praise!

Call to Confession
Unison Prayer of Confession
O Great God of mercy and grace, we have not run the race to the finish. Our vision has been clouded. We have aimed at the mark and we have missed. Our vision has been misdirected. We have come to the river and not waded in. Our vision has been fearful. We have come to the mountain and have not climbed. Our vision has been short-sighted. Remove our fear and give us a new vision. Amen.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Pardon Pastor
God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send His Son to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16-17
